From Late Romanticism to Symbolism in France

Integrale delle Sonate per pianoforte, I concerto

Friday August 28th, 9:00 PM
Chiostro di San Domenico, Fondi

In the evocative setting of the Cloister of San Domenico in Fondi, Julian Kainrath, Ruslan Talas and Luigi Carroccia give voice to the French repertoire for violin and piano composed between the 19th and 20th centuries, in the transition from late Romanticism to Symbolism.

Although Franck, Chausson and Debussy lived within a similar cultural world, each of these composers speaks a very different musical language while sharing the same poetic perspective in which violin and piano dialogue on a level of full expressive equality.
